Yogāsana – Kryia. Vinyasa. Pranayama.
Yogāsana – Kryia. Vinyasa. Pranayama.
Each Saturday, we move through three core elements:
Kriya – Energy Yoga
Kriya means “purifying action”.
Kriya Yoga is a gentle yet powerful practice that combines movement, breathwork, meditation, and energy work to restore balance in the body and mind. Working with the chakra system and the flow of energy through the body, Kriya helps to release blockages, calm the nervous system and create a deeper sense of energy awareness, clarity and grounding.
Vinyasa – Asana – Physical Practice
Strength, Energetic and Awakening.
Vinyasa means “to place in a special way”, the intelligent linking of breath and movement.
This section builds heat, strength and resilience through purposeful sequencing. Expect dynamic flows, standing work, inversions, balance and core integration.
The aim is not aesthetic perfection, but embodied strength and steadiness.
Pranayama – Breathwork
Regulate & Restore
Pranayama translates as “expansion of life force” (Prana being life force energy).
We close each class with guided breath practices to integrate the physical work and bring the system back into balance.
This is where the practice settles. Where the mind softens. Where awareness deepens.
Throughout the class, we weave mantra, mudra and chanting, as part of the tradition of yoga.
My Offering
My own practice has been shaped through years of study and practice around the world, learning from incredible teachers and immersing myself in the traditional roots of yoga. I was originally taught in India under Indian teachers and have continued my studies with world-renowned teachers whose teachings continue to deeply influence the way I practise and teach.
The traditions of yoga are deeply important to me, not only as philosophy, but as lived practice. What I share in this class is an authentic reflection of my own personal practice, one that weaves together Kriya and energy work, strong and disciplined asana, and breathwork designed to regulate and reset the nervous system.
I am deeply passionate about this class and about creating a space where yoga is experienced as more than movement alone, but as a practice that strengthens the body, steadies the mind and reconnects us to ourselves.
Who Is This Class For?
This class is suited to those who enjoy a strong physical practice and are open to the traditional elements of yoga. Some prior experience is helpful, but not required, as guidance and options are always offered.
